On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation, along with members of the Kemp family and Lakeridge Health, unveiled The Doug & Billie Kemp Emergency Department. The ceremony marks a milestone in the Kemp family’s unprecedented $2-million dollar leadership gift announced in July 2018.
