Medical equipment needs upgrading every five to ten years. While the government does provide hospitals with the essentials, it does not provide the funding required to purchase and/or replace vital equipment needed to care for our patients.

Equipment purchased from 2017 onwards will be put to use immediately and transferred to the new hospital when complete.

MINI C-ARM MACHINE

A mini C-arm is designed to scan patient extremities. The C-arm has a much smaller arc and lower generator power capacity, making it suitable for hands, feet, wrists, and elbows. A few models are even capable of some limited shoulder scans.
It’s smaller in size, so you get better workplace access
The mini C-Arm is surgeon-operated and doesn’t require a radiographer
It can reduce delays and lower the cost of surgery
It also reduces the screening time and scattered radiation dose for the patient, surgeon and theatre personnel
