Hatch celebrates office expansion, strengthens support for Ontario’s clean energy sector, and donates $20,000 to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation
BOWMANVILLE, ON – August 26, 2026 – Hatch celebrated the expansion of its Bowmanville office alongside government, industry, and community leaders, marking a significant investment in Ontario’s growing energy sector and in the Clarington community.
The expansion reinforces Hatch’s long-standing partnership with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and supports the delivery of Ontario’s growing portfolio of clean energy and nuclear projects. Located in one of Canada’s most important energy hubs, the expanded office brings Hatch’s teams closer to the infrastructure projects helping power the province’s future while creating opportunities for continued collaboration, innovation, and growth.
As part of the celebration, Hatch presented a $20,000 donation to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation’s, We Care, We Can campaign for the rebuild of Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital, demonstrating the company’s commitment to supporting the communities where its employees live and work.
The opening event brought together government representatives, industry leaders, clients, community partners, and Hatch employees to recognize the collaboration and expertise required to deliver the infrastructure needed to meet Ontario’s growing energy demands.
Special guests included The Honourable Todd McCarthy, MPP for Durham and Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks; Adrian Foster, Mayor of Clarington; Bonnie Wrightman, Executive Director of the Clarington Board of Trade; representatives from Ontario Power Generation; and community leaders from across the region.

As one of the fastest growing regions in Ontario, Durham Region’s population is expected to double by 2041. To ensure our integrated, regional health system can continue to meet the rapidly growing demands of our community, the Bowmanville Hospital will undergo a once-in-a-generation rebuild, nearly doubling its current size. Once complete, the Bowmanville Hospital will usher in a new era of health care delivery in Durham Region with features including new ambulatory care clinics, a Haemodialysis Centre, Level 3 Critical Care capacity, and a rooftop helipad to support rapid access to emergency services.
