Speaker Biographies

George Stanois – SVP, BNP Goldie Canada

An acknowledged leader with an extensive and accomplished consulting background, George began his fundraising career in 1984 with an international consulting firm and joined The Goldie Company in 1996. In 2020, Goldie merged with BNP Philanthropic to form BNP Goldie Canada.

George is committed to high-level, hands-on service to clients. He has a consistent record of developing innovative solutions to fundraising challenges, exceeding expectations and forging long-term relationships. Renowned for his high-energy fundraising management style, George has conducted numerous studies and led scores of successful campaigns for a wide range of municipal, healthcare, education, religious, community service and heritage organizations from coast to coast. George has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to manage difficult projects, implement creative change and achieve positive outcomes.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, George earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 1990. He is an active participant with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is frequently asked to speak to organizations on the 12 Step Fundraising Program.

Over the years, George has been a volunteer and board member of many charitable organizations, most recently with the Hellenic Heritage Foundation and the Learn and Uplift Foundation. George is the editor of The Vigilant Fundraiser: 12 Steps to Fundraising Success, a best-selling practical guide based on his 12 Step Fundraising Program.

Frank Cerisano – CEO, Bowmanville Hospital Foundation

Frank Cerisano is a passionate and dedicated philanthropic professional with approximately 30 years of experience in fundraising.

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation Mr. Cerisano with his dedicated team of staff and volunteers has led the foundation the past seven years. Under his guidance, counsel and strategic direction he has successfully launched a $110 million fundraising campaign to expand, redevelop and equip the hospital. He has grown the foundation from 9 volunteers to over 60 volunteers working on various committees under one common goal. In addition, he has grown the office from three staff to ten staff respectfully. Finally, he has taken the foundation from raising approximately 800,000 gross revenues to $3.6 million last fiscal year. The foundation is a viable and contributing community partner across the municipality.

In addition to his duties at the foundation, Mr. Cerisano is also the Chief Executive Officer of FCM Network Inc. a fundraising management agency that delivers hands on development expertise and education to various charities across Ontario. FCM Network works with many clients a year, and have collectively raised billions of dollars to support a multitude of projects. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Golden Horse Shoe; former committee member of Advancement for Colleges Ontario; past Governing Council member of the Brampton Board of Trade; past member of the Economic Development Committee for the City of Brampton; and a past member of the Toronto Heritage Committee.

Jennifer Lee – AVP, Marketing and Communications, Scarborough Health Network Foundation

Jennifer Lee joined SHN Foundation in October 2021, bringing 20 years of marketing experience on both the agency side and the brand side. She brings a unique perspective to growing national and global brands by building compelling stories to shift business results forward. Her career has touched a multitude of categories from CPG to automotive to non-for-profit to government to telco and sports media. She has had the great fortune to have worked on many industry-leading campaigns. Jennifer is passionate about the creative process!

Jennifer graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business degree. She lives in Etobicoke with her twin boys.
